any body else care to post their war stories? Here's one of mine:
I bought a 650 triumph in 1964 and had a buddy ride it back to our naval base in hawaii.we stopped about a half mile from the gate and he said for me to take it up about a quarter mile on this graveled cane road to another graveled crossroad.I did but when i tried to turn around i skidded and turned the throttle the wrong way.the bike went down,threw me clear,and my head hit the road i didn't know i'd been knocked out till i saw my buddy suddenly running up next to me asking if i was alright.it seemed as if he had run that quarter of a mile in about a second or less.I've got a couple more that i'm going to save in case anyone else participates in this thread.
